Rachel Carson "Sense of Wonder" Family Room

This room is located upstairs in our on-site inn, the Milkweed Mercantile. The Rachel Carson room is family friendly, and kids are welcome.

The Mercantile is constructed of strawbales and features both lime and natural plaster, a tile mosaic, hand-crafted crown molding, reclaimed 1920’s doors and door frames, handmade headboards, abundant local art, and other artisan features. Upstairs rooms have access to our guest lounge (couch, armchairs, library, dinette table and chairs for cards, puzzles and studying. There is a combination bathtub/shower, commercial composting toilet, and separate shaving sink.

Bed - one queen bed, two twin mattresses in a trundle bed. NOTE: the bottom mattress is most suitable for children.
